Attention (May 5th, 2025 - present): Potential Canada Post Strike and Radon Test Kit Shipment

With a Canada Post strike likely to happen this month, we are temporarily delaying shipments until we are confident your radon test kit can be delivered reliably. All radon test kits will be prepared promptly and sent out once the strike is resolved.

By request, we can deliver your radon test kit to you through an alternative courier. However, this will incur added shipping costs. Please contact [email protected] for more information.

Citizen Science

By consenting to participate in our study, you agree that your radon reading and the corresponding home metric survey can be shared with researchers in a de-identified manner. Please note that all study data is kept encrypted and stored within Canada on highly secure data platforms protected by Canadian law. We will never publish individual addresses or anything that identifies you or your home. Everything we do goes through a rigorous Research Ethics Board approval process.

Long-Term Radon Exposure Biomarker (Toenail) Study

The Long-Term Radon Exposure Biomarker (Toenail) Study is a unique opportunity to help Canadian researchers develop new ways of measuring a person’s long-term exposure to radon. Participants must complete a 120-day radon test, complete three online surveys, and submit 120 days’ worth of toenail clippings. These clippings are analyzed for the presence of radon decay products, offering insight into long-term radon exposure for individuals in a way that we hope will be helpful for future exposure assessment and lung cancer screening.

Radon Exposure and Disability Study

The Radon Exposure and Disability Study explores how radon impacts populations in Canada, including people who are living with disabilities, including hearing, vision, mobility, pain, mental health, and more. To be eligible, selected participants must be experiencing a disability and have lived in their current residence for at least five years. If selected, we will send a radon test to your primary residence, which must remain in place for 120 days, and participants will be asked to complete three online surveys.
