“We are very excited to announce this appointment,” says Dr. Aaron Goodarzi, Chair of the Board of Evict Radon. “Weston brings with him an array of expertise to the role. We trust he will, together with the Board, help lead Evict Radon onto further development and excellence.”
Born and raised in Calgary, Weston Jacques is an emerging leader with a background in strategic and organizational communications. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications Studies from the University of Calgary and a Master of Arts in Professional Communication from Royal Roads University. Weston has a wealth of communications experience in non-profit, health awareness, arts, and telecommunications, with specific expertise in crafting thought-provoking awareness campaigns.
Within the last two years, Weston has helped transform Evict Radon from a research campaign focused in Calgary into a national non-profit organization with high aspirations of increasing radon awareness, education and home testing across all of Canada.
“It is an honour to lead this new organization into the future as we tackle Canada’s radon problem,” says Jacques. “With support from the Alberta Real Estate Foundation and Health Canada, we are on the right path towards educating Canadians about the harmful effects of radon gas, putting an end to radon-induced lung cancer.”
